XCOM: Enemy Unknown

A Firaxis a 2K Games támogatásával kemény fába vágta a fejszéjét 2008-ban, amikor elkezdték az XCOM: Enemy Unknown fejlesztését. Az akkori bejelentés egy óriási projekt kezdetéről szólt, amin 60 ember dolgozik, és a kiadó az anyagiakat sem sajnálja majd a legjobb eredmény érdekében. Anno ez sokak érdeklődését keltette fel, hiszen már akkor látszott a mára egyre nagyobb méreteket öltő probléma, hogy a legtöbb kiadó a tömegigényekre koncentrál, a perifériára szorítva néhány igazán érdekes és értékes stílust. A kihívás azonban nem is ettől volt gigászi, hanem attól az apró ténytől, hogy a Firaxis az 1994-es UFO: Enemy Unknown-t akarta újraalkotni, modern köntösben, márpedig az a játék minden túlzás nélkül egy legenda.

Mivel valószínűleg sokan vannak, akik a 90-es évek közepén még az anyatejre jobban vágytak, mint egy hosszú kutatások árán kifejlesztett plazmafegyverre, ezért szeretnénk egy kicsit megemlékezni (csak röviden) az eredeti UFO-ról, ha már ilyen nagy szavakkal dobálódzunk. A Mythos és a Microprose gyermeke már akkor is több év fejlesztésének gyümölcse volt, és ha nagyon rá akarunk húzni egy kategóriát, akkor talán a 4x stratégiákhoz áll közel, egy jól kidolgozott, körökre osztott harcrendszerrel. Utóbbi nem utolsó szempont, hiszen az idő nagy részében harcoltunk, míg a maradékban a bázisainkat menedzselgettük, próbáltuk megfejteni az idegenek technológiáját, ezerrel gyártottuk a felszerelést a katonáinknak és monitoroztuk a bolygót, hogy ha felbukkan valahol egy UFO, akkor már küldhessük is a nyakára a vadászgépeinket. A játék elég addiktív és megfelelően komplex volt, máig 90% felett van a metacritic-es átlaga, és előkelő helyeket foglal el a különböző oldalak „minden idők legjobb játékai” listáin.

Az UFO: Enemy Unknown-nak több folytatása volt (Terror from the Deep, Apocalypse és Interceptor, utóbbi már űrszim is), és nem véletlen az UFO: Aftermath-tal való hasonlóság sem, az azzal kezdődő trilógia sokat merített a nagy elődből, de sosem lett olyan sikeres, mint az. Rengetegen kritizálták az eredetihez képest butább kivitelezés miatt, hiszen az egész játék egyszerűsödött. A Firaxis azonban az ős-UFO felújítását és újragondolását ígérte nekünk, így tűkön ülve vártuk, hogy mikor érkezik meg a játék. Nos, itt van, végre befutott, úgyhogy lássuk min dolgoztak négy évig!

    Voltam olyan kocka, és végig vittem, nagyon rövid idő alatt. Szégyenloem bevallani,h mennyi idő alatt,m ekkora kocka sose vottam
    De, annak ellenére,h a mentésekkel kicsit gond volt (használok autosave-et), a küldetés végén nem kaptam meg a rabolt fegyvereket, nem tudtam csak képességet fejleszteni, hiányzott a régi, furcsa volt, a 2 "lépéses" küzdelem, A réginél, léptél 1ett, akkor még volt lépésed, vagy lőhettél. itt léptél egyet és második cselekvésed,h vagy lősz, vagy lépsz. fejlesztéseknél nem jutottam el a plazmáig, már jött a nagy UFO űrhajó, ahol kinyírtam a fő psionicistát és vége volt a játéknak. Csak 1 psionikus harcosom lehetett. Csak 1 bázis. Ha 3 választásból 1 küldetést megcsinálsz akkor buktad a másik kettőt. és a legnagyobb hiba, hogy hamar vége lett
    De, még emellett is, míg párom kinn volt külföldön, mást nem tudtam csinálni, még munka mellett is azon járt az agyam
    Mivel vannak hibák, így nálam 98%-os a játék

    Hát az IronMan felejtős.. most jött az első nagyobb szállítóhajó amin bazinagy robot is volt, kb tizedikre csináltam meg(harc közben nem mentek csak ameddig nem történik semmi, 2-3 kör).

    Nekem most kell elkezdenem másodszorra mert egy terror site-on beleszaladtam 8! Chrysalid-ba és 19 civilből elég sok lett hirtelen zombi, majd zombigyártó... a zombik meg ráadásnak 9et sebeztek és mérgeztek.. esélyem sem volt gyógyulni.. Mindezt legkönnyebben ironman módban..

    No kérem, van ebben is tűz igaz nem gránát formájában. Rakéta vagy gránát után nekem sokszor kigyullad a terep - DE EZ CUMI, mert elégnek az idegen tech thingie-k! Füst az nincs, illetve füstgránát van ami védelmet ad, meg talán volt rá skill ami valami kokszot nyom a füstbe és bevadulnak tőle az embereim abilityügyileg.
    Aki legalább normal nehézségen játszik, az eleinte próbáljon műholdakat fellőni és erősíteni az emberei sebzését. Én sajna túl sokat építkeztem és néha akkora ellenfelek jönnek hogy 2 kör kell mire lesebzem - úgy hogy 5-6 ember lövi.

    Összesen kettő buggal találkoztam a játék alatt és egyik sem veszélyeztette a játékmenetet. Autosave nálam alapban off, ne szarja össze az SSDmet(ez a játék túl sokszor ment szerintem), majd mentek amikor akarok.

    @Razak az UFO--->>>Unknown Flying Object-->>>Azonosítatlan repülő tárgy.Nem rákember vagy szürke..azok inkább földönkívüliek.

    Igen érdekes a 6 embers moka de ha nem toborzol egy idejig embereket akkor szolnak rád hogy ugyan már toboroz embereket.

    Terror From the Deep: A vilag egyik legnivosabb jateka, ahogy elottem irtak Magam is Heteket Toltottem el vele...Nem ertem miert nem lehet mint a Serious Sam eseteben Rahuzni egy ujj grafikai motorra az Eredetit Szorostul Borostul? Tudom tudom nem egyszeru, De arra Lenne Vevo nem keves Mert azt Meg Enis kifizetnem ha megjelenne ha 10E ft akkor is. A regivel ezert nem szeretek jatszani mert sokszor kifagy vagy megbolondul meg Dos Boxban is.
    Nem hinnem kiprobalom ezt ezek utan.

    Bár még nem volt szerencsém az újat kipróbálni, de a régit azt agyon játszottam anno és kb 3 hónapja újból elővettem.
    A cikk alapján, ami nem szimpi az újban:
    1. Akciópontok, nekem a régi sokkal jobban tetszett. Mekkora drukkolás volt, amikor elfogyott az akciópontod és pont akkor látott meg emberünk egy UFO-t. Annyit nem imádkoztam még életembe
    2. Fejlődés. Nálam okosabbak biztos jobban tudják, de a régiben a képességek az alapján fejlődtek, hogy mennyire használtuk az adott katona képességét. Az szerintem sokkal reálisabb volt.
    3. 6 emberrel akarjuk megváltani a világot? Ez nekem is fura

    Emellett a többi egyszerűsítést sem tetszik nagyon, de sajnos el kell fogadni, hogy változnak az idők. Biztosan ki fogom próbálni és biztosan jól fogom magam érezni vele, de az tény, hogy nem fogom félretenni az eredetit

    Nekem tiszta hibás a 100 mentés után teljesen megbulondult mentések terén.Lehet hogy az automatikus mentés beállitásával van valami az egész mentö és betöltö rendszer valamiért hibás.

    Dedicated Bug Reports

    1} "After the Oct 11 Patch".
    Loaded up my save. Shot down a battleship using 3 interceptors. Went to the crash site with the Skyranger. 2 hour mission. End of mission, camera tracks an interceptor back to base while the skyranger flies backwards into the North Pole. Hangs then the camera backs out to mission control and then shoots back to the globe view, which is now empty and lacking any onscreen controls. I have force quit.

    2} After the October 11th Patch: After completing the final scene, the end cinematic plays, and then there is a brief flash of the Skyranger loading screen, after which the Defeat cinematic plays, final stats are given and there is an unceremonious dump to the title screen. Achievements are not awarded, second wave options are not unlocked.

    3} This new (Oct. 11) patch ruined my game.
    I loaded my last save file and game seemed to be running fine, I went tot the globe, shot-down a large-unknown contact over the USA with an interceptor. I sent in my squad to the crashsite. Everything in between 'Go' button in the Hangar to the landing animation works brilliantly. My game crashes two or three seconds after I get tactical control. This never happened pre-patch.

    4} After the Oct 11 Patch
    Post-patch I cannot see the level of cover when moving cursor around the screen. Also, not sure if its a bug but some cutscenes run at 30fps and some run at 60fps.

    5} After the Oct 11 Patch
    Game still crashes at seemingly random times. Windows sends a generic error message. Traditional fixes dont seem to work. It would appear that the problem has something to do with AMD cards and processors.

    ::ATCH UPDATE:::
    A patch has been released, 2GB in size. For future bug reports, is there is a new bug, report as normal. If an old bug mentioned on this list or on other posts is still occurring, please add the note "After the 11 Oct patch".

    :::UPDATED BUG LIST:::
    1} the game hangs on the first mission with Mutons in - either on the alien activity phase or the player soldier movement. IM Normal game on PC.

    2} I'm sure by now everyone who enters this thread is aware of some sorta "camera glitch". 2a} The camera bug where it leaves player control, i'm sure everyone knows of this, but just to reaffirm it.

    3} On Greg's stream, his Goliath SHIV isn't rendering correctly. In the loadout premission screen it is invisible, and in the mission itself it looks like a person without a head!

    4} Im playing a VIP escort mission and when i try to abort the mission with my 2 remaining squad members in the extraction zone one of them disappears while the other stays put. The game just hangs at that point. Continuing to show the last member in the extraction zone without being able to move him or even have the menu come up by repeatedly hitting escape.
    It just occurs repeatedly. Iron Man Classic.

    5} Game seized up, was able to cycle between soldiers but couldn't select any actions or end turn. Couldn't do anything else other than to close down the game and restart.

    6} Can't zoom in on base as you could in the demo with the mouse wheel.

    7} Soldier's flat top hairstyle fell off leaving him bald during death animation - saw this happen before when Jake was playing. Quite funny actually, but still shouldn't happen.

    8} Not personal experience, but one of the reviews said that losing a mind-controlled alien (Muton) caused his squad to panic. I would assume that's a bug.

    9} Ironman tutorial bugged for me after 3 missions. I had the game tell me to go to mission control but when I did it didn't freeze per se, it wasn't the program, it was in the game it wouldn't allow me to do anything and wouldn't queue anything... SO I restarted... Upon restart i'm in the tutorial moved back a step in the story "Build the alien containment center"... except in my antfarm i'm building the alien containment center already, but it wants me to build one, the tutorial won't let me move on, but it won't let me build it... so now upon trying everything, the save is seemingly completely ruined. (This is why the tutorial should hold your hand... not force it... really obnoxious)
    9a} Also occurs on PS3

    10} At rare occasions, you can get stuck in the action menu on the battlefield. As in, you cant then go back to your characters move actions.

    12} Was trying to move the soldier to hide behind those alien devices (it's no satellite) that crashed and release the green stuff. I was not able to get behind it to get the full shield/cover. The dash range supported my move but the rectangle would only stop 1 square behind. I overcame this by rotating the camera.

    13} Bug cannot add soldiers to mission

    14} Hotkeys. If you reassign any of the number keys to something else, you can't assign ANYTHING to spot they used to hold... even the number key that used to be there. Key defaults have to be reloaded to fix it. 14a} Remapped PC Key Bindings not always sticking. I prefer ESDF instead of WASD for movement, and W & R for camera rotation. R & F cannot be rebound, and Reload & Hunker Down also will not accept new keybinds.

    15} After completing a terror mission at a gas station / truck stop and capturing a live sectoid the geoscape view is hung with my ship icon still above the terror site. The ship will not return to base, there are no active buttons, and I cannot save the game. I think my only option is to re-load my last save. 15za} Same error occured after finishing the ufo mission. plays video of skyranger departing, goes to geoscape, and everything stops responding with the exception of the scan button.

    16} There are some squares in the tactical map that I cannot click on. They are well within my soldiers movement range and it doesn't matter if I am dashing or walking. When I try to move my cursor over the square the phone booth (PB) doesn't follow. Its like the hit box for the tile is in the wrong spot, there has been one tile where I was able to eventually find the 1 pixel that I needed to click on in order to get my soldier to move there but all others have just been dead space and unreachable. (Keyboard/mouse PC)

    17} When telling a soldier to dash onto a roof I sometimes run into the problem of the roof flickering between showing and not showing, which means that the PB keeps flickering between on the roof and the ground floor... adds another (unintended) element of luck to the game as to which one I manage to click on. (Keyboard/mouse PC)

    18} When firing the rocket launcher at its most extreme maximum range it becomes difficult to aim because when you move the targeting cursor to the edge of the screen it starts to scroll the screen. Would there be a way to unlock the camera position while aiming the rocket launcher? (Keyboard/mouse PC)

    19} 2nd Abduction mission, Mexico, library map. Ironman Classic. Right after starting interrogation on sectoid.
    End of first turn, one sectoid moves towards me, I killed it with 2 reaction shots. 2nd sectoid moves on me. Game just don't end this sectoid turn, don't cycle between other aliens and stays stuck at Alien Activity.

    20} I'm not sure if this is a bug or an intended way the game is supposed to be, but there have been times where I move right next to an alien, and there is no cover between my guy and the alien, but the % to hit doesn't change. The shield doesn't change to yellow, the % has been between 40 and 60, and my guys have been in the tile adjacent to the aliens with not even a flower in between the two. I feel like this is a bug since there have been times that it did change to 100% or 90-something %. 20a} I had several occasions when checking the red alien heads showed "1%" but when I opened the tactical UI it would display hit chances in the 20-40% range.

    21} In a VIP mission on a sort of bridge (not sure of map names), at the far end of the map from the starting point is a sort of collapsed section where it drops down and then rises back up, with some aliens on the raised section across. On the near side of the dropoff was a slightly lower section with some half cover, or at least what looked like it should be half cover. When I put the move/destination cursor on those tiles, they sort of vibrated and never resolved into the usual cursor showing cover/half-cover. It wasn't just that no cover was shown, the cursor was acting glitchy but only on those tiles. When I tried to click to move there anyway, my soldier somehow took that as an instruction to dash all the way down the slope and about 8 tiles out into the open area, to a location nowhere near what I had clicked. He died instantly, of course -- soldier lost to UI glitch.

    22} The "Upcoming Events" list does not update correctly -- PC. When I select "scan for activity" at mission control, I can see the time ticking down on the event list. A research project finishes. I assign a new project. The event list still shows the newly completed project as upcoming. The list should be updated here. If I click "scan for activity" again the event list will then update.

    23} There is also a silly bug that sometimes makes your cursor spaz out 40 times a second between an upper level and a lower level. I'm tired of losing soldiers to this.

    24} 5 hours into the game I sent my team after a UFO I shot down, but everyone is invisible and cant take any actions (
    screenshot). My only choice is to abort and lose my best soldiers, or restart the game. Also during this bug the camera sometimes automatically pans to the lower left of the map and I cant control it.

    25} In the soldier customization screen there are three armor skins to choose from which are listed as 0, 1 and 2. However 0 is the default skin, and if you change it you cant go back, you're stuck with 1 or 2.

    26} I believe there is a hit point bug in this game. All new soldiers that you recruit on impossible difficulty seem to have 6 hit points, this is the amount of hit points your soldiers should have on the easiest difficulty. The soldiers that you start out with seem to have the correct amount of 3 hit points.

    27} I assume that this is also true for other difficulties and so all recruited soldiers start with the statistics they should have on easy. However, I live in Europe and do not have the game yet. So I have not personally confirmed it and am only basing this upon the data I can see in the live streams. Any confirmation on this would be appreciated. Edit: The hit point bug has been confirmed. All new recruits on impossible get the same hp as they get on easy. It has not yet been confirmed on other difficulties than impossible yet.

    28} if you try to send 2 interceptor separately to a UFO, and one of them takes it down, the other one will get your game stuck. you can't do anything except to move time forward, and nothing happens.

    29} Just stuck the game by hitting a pair of mutons with a rocket. The double-intimidate caused the UI to cease responding for more than ten minutes. Game could still be terminated without a "not responding" prompt, though.

    30} Playing a level with a building that is two stories and has a roof (with skylights), on PC.
    Had a player run across the roof and drop down onto the second level next to the roof access ladder (indoors inside a room). It appeared he dropped down to the 2nd floor, but on the aliens turn he showed up like he was on the roof (3rd floor). His defense played like he was on the 2nd floor correctly, but he was rendered on the roof. 30a} I have a player also on the second floor that I want to move to an overhang which can be accessed from the roof (can move there in one move). The movement lines show that I can move there but I can't select it no matter which camera angle because the selection always drops down to the first floor. The overhang appears to be at the same level as the second floor and is outside the building. Mouse selection would be way easier if it preferred which height you were viewing on. It would also be nice if there was a visual indicator as to which level you were viewing.

    31} XBOX 360 bug: Playing an alien base mission on normal in Africa, after defeating all the enemies, there is one Drone stuck in the middle of the base in the air. I can't shoot it down and the mission will not end. Tried multiple times reloading and replaying the mission.

    32} Don't know fur sure, whether it's a bug or not, but you are NOT able to damage flying enemies like Floaters or Cyberdiscs with the Rocket Launcher or grenades. (Which means HEAT ammo is quite useless since those guys always fly....)

    33} Xbox 360 controller keeps disconnecting. Whenever 1 of my squad mates takes a hit my wireless 360 controller will become disconnected and I need to reconnect it. This happens every single time (without fail) a squad mate takes dmg from a hit. The controller works fine through the rest of the game without disconnecting, which leads me to believe this is not my controller but something in the game that is causing the disconnect.

    34} Bug: All the text/buttons disappear, ESC menu does not work/show up. Can still move around the base view with the mouse, but not access anything. Just returned from a Council VIP escort OP, promoted my Guys and backed out to "main view"
    Uh this has happened 5 times so far, and once when getting back from an OP, and heading to the research lab, putting new research on, backing out to main view. Rest of the times, similar circumstances.

    35} Bug: When having a soldier selected and viewing possible move locations if you are looking inside a train-car or something that has an accsesible roof(2nd layer of the map basically) the terrain will flicker in and out beyond infinity, from the inside and the "roof" view. This also applies to the "bridge" map as an example.

    36} If you move and then overwatch a sniper with their pistol, you can select them again and switch back to the rifle. The sniper will remain in overwatch and use their rifle.

    37} Accidentally unplugging and then plugging back in the XBox 360 controller for the PC switches the controller to player 2 (as is needed when you want to play Left 4 Dead 2 in splitscreen on the PC) and won't reset to player 1, even after unplugging/plugging in again. There's no way to cancel out of the "please connect the controller" box* and switch back to keyboard, either, which makes this a bug requiring a graceless exit from the game. I had to restart my system to switch back to player 1 on the controller. *Cancel button = fix

    38} I have a sound bug where I can hear the sound effects and music through my speakers just fine, but I can not hear any speech. If I plug my headphones (Plantronics Gamecon) in, I can hear the speech then along with the rest. 38a} I'm having exactly the same problem minus the ability to hear speech when I plug in my headphones via 3.5mm jack or via optical to a Tritton amp. I just went through this morning and updated all of my drivers to current spec.

    39} games keeps crashing more and more frequently to the point where I can't do anything after about a minute or two. COuld there be some kind of data caching issue like civ 5 used to have? 39a} This is happening to me as well and I have a laptop too. I wonder what's causing it, cuz I'm at my wits end.

    40} The very annoying bug (I think it's a bug?) I've encountered so far is that now two of my soldiers are permanently wounded and aren't coming back to active ops no matter how much time passes. I've had one soldier have her status set to wounded since like the third mission of the game. I can't dismiss them either, on account of their...wounds.

    41} XCOM Database: Audio narration for Database is inaccurate for almost all entries. ASSAULT CLASS is missing entirely and AIRCRAFT WEAPONRY is cut short. Articles are pretty short and don't have much detail, so are practically worthless anyway. Is there supposed to be a construction time for Building/Buying items? It's all instant for me.

    42} In the Hangar, I clicked on a damaged interceptor to view it and clicked on the Weapon Info button for its current weapon. After viewing I clicked the CLOSE button to close the window... and ended up backing out from the View Interceptor menu, but the Weapon Info page remained. Every Time I clicked on the CLOSE button, it would back out one more level as if I were pressing Escape on my keyboard, but the Weapon Info page never closed. Fixed it by opening up a non-damaged Interceptor Info menu.

    43} Platform: PC. Soldiers ending their first move next to a ladder on a truck appeared to levitate above the truck rather than standing next to it as I had ordered. All cover bonuses were still applied to the soldier, this is just a graphical glitch.

    45} On classic ironman, I had a squad member in half-cover and hunkered down. An alien came up fairly close and flanked my soldier, fired, and critically hit him. Tool tip for Hunker Down says that a soldier is immune to crits when hunkered down. Not sure if this was a bug or if the tool tip should say "Immune to crits (except when flanked)."

    46} The mouse pointer hot spot became disjointed off-position from the mouse pointer after finishing the Gollop Chamber video that designated a volunteer for the final mission. Had to save and reload to fix it. I play on 1680x1050 rez.

    47} There's a lot of things going wrong with S.H.I.V. use:
    Sometimes, it does not allow me to add a S.H.I.V. to the squad. I predict it's locking them up for repairs or as destroyed as residual data for other SHIVs that are gone. The only visible symptom is that, when I try to add the SHIV from the barrack roster to the mission group, it makes the typical XCOM "can't do that" error noise.
    I got a headless female squad member named "SHIV" when deployed a Hover SHIV. That squad member had the "hardened perk," was using a standard squad assault rifle, could not open doors, could not use cover, had no voice, yet actually panicked when it took a lot of damage.
    The first time I tried to use a Hover SHIV, I got the hover SHIV body and attributes, but no weapon. The only squad command it had was "toggle flight mode," and that did not work, giving the "can't do that" error noise when I tried using it.
    47a} I'm getting a bug where the SHIV units (normal and alloy) are missing their images in the barracks, and they cant be selected as units to take on a mission. I have the PC version on STEAM and I restarted the game and verified the game files and the problem still exists.
    The SHIV's worked up until I invaded a hidden ground base.
    47b} I recently had my S.H.I.V.s bug out hard. The first one, a basic shiv was damaged i waited the 5 days and then it said active (1 day) which was weird. Then i put it in my squad and it was invisible in the squad select screen, i was puzzled but just decided to launch the mission. When the mission started the S.H.I.V looked like a female soldier in the default gear WITH NO HEAD.
    47c}1st mission with SHIV went fine. Next mission SHIV went into a large crashed UFO. Second room there was a large ramp going down into the cargo hold and when the SHIV got to the top of this ramp it got stuck there for the rest of the mission. The mission even crashed a few turns later and when I restarted the mission my progress had been saved but the SHIV was still stuck.
    Next mission after the SHIV was destroyed I tried to bring a second SHIV that I had already built but I could not add it to the team.

    49} When I deployed my troops out of their Europe base to a terror mission in Australia, the Skyranger found an "interesting" shortcut: it went from Europe to the North Pole, then immediately reappeared at the South Pole and went to Australia. After the mission, it went back the same route.

    50} Rarely, aliens will spawn right in the midst of my squad, not as a part of a special event (such as after defusing a bomb) but rather as a spawn I somehow missed and walked right over them before triggering it.

    51} Panic levels disappeared, no abduction missions, no income.
    I don't know what I did to cause this, but it happened on Ironman and effectively ruined my save game. I can't get any abduction missions, every single UFO spawns at the north pole and none of my interceptors can get to them, there's no income from any countries and no matter what country I select it says "United States"

    52} Once you get over a certain number of saved games +125 or so they stop getting sorted properly. Any new ones including auto or quick saves get placed randomly any where in the list. Deleting games in to get the total under 100 fixes this temporarily.

    53} The sniper max level perk double tap doesn't always let you take the 2nd shot. Seems to happen more with headshot as your first shot. Didn't have disabling shot so couldn't test with that.

    54} On the alien base mission there was a group of floaters in the upper left corner (with the default viewpoint) of the 2nd large room, that when I initially spotted them and the glam cam showed them moving moved correctly. But i had to reload for some reason and each time after that the glam cam didn't go off and they would just appear behind me in the entrance from the first room into the 2nd. It made it much easier but obviously a bug.

    55} So far, the biggest bug I've found is that the mission to rescue 'Hutch' is unbeatable. On two separate playthroughs now, and countless attempts in various ways, I can't figure out why. First time I tried, I just cleared all the aliens out, got Hutch to the Skyranger...and the next time my turn ended, it asked if I wanted to abort the mission. It asked this every single time my turn ended from then on. I then tried doing it without killing ANY aliens. Still the same issue. I've tried it in every way I can think of, and there's just no way for it to work for me. All other escort missions that I've done have worked perfectly fine.

    56} Bug that causes a UI lockup I've yet to be able to 100% replicate, but it happens often enough. I THINK the best way I can get it to happen is if I go into firing mode, and then tab or change over to another unit of mine. Once that happens, I'm unable to do anything at all, other than cycle through my units. Can't move, use abilities, end turn, nothing at all. However, that's not the only way to get it to happen...it just does sometimes.

    57} I've had an issue lately where a Sniper with the Snap Shot ability pops up the message that I can't move and shoot in the same turn. If I reload the weapon, I can then put the Sniper into Overwatch mode. This happens randomly, and I cannot force it to happen at all. Some missions it won't happen at all, some missions it'll happen once or twice.

    58} Aliens, particularly Sectopods, will sometimes spawn inside a wall. They can still fire, they can be killed, but they won't move at all.

    59} I had an enemy Drone heal one of my SHIVs instead of attacking it. I didn't have an ARC Thrower on any character, nor did I have the Forge upgrade to capture Drones. It's only happened once, and even on several reloads, I never got it to happen again.

    61} Here's a fairly major bug for anyone using a controller for the PC version:
    Using non-Xbox controllers with the Xbox controller setting swaps several buttons and the analog stick movement axises. I am currently using a Cideko AK08 controller with XBox keys mapped out in the standard configuration via Pinnacle and the trigger/bumper positions have been swapped (what would normally be left trigger now does what the left bumper is supposed to do and vice versa). As for the analog sticks, moving forward sends the movement line backwards, although side to side movement is most fine (the left analog stick might be unaffected as well).
    61a} it seems if you don't have a Xinput controller your Y axis is inverted meaning you go down when pressing up on the left stick.

    62}General User Interface menus while in the base will either not appear all, or will not go away when attempting to close them. For example, no menus would appear at all while in the base, no matter how often I clicked on the right-mouse button, rooms or hit escape.
    As for the menus not going away problem, the biggest examples are when outfitting a team for a mission. One example is when I tried to look at the detailed information for a shotgun. Once opened, all attempts to close this window failed. I was mostly able to navigate through other menus, but the shotgun details window appeared OVER all the other menus. When I tried to launch a mission, it crashed the game.

    63} When selecting my squad for a mission, clearing a member then adding a new one will sometimes result in the character information being added to the squad member's box, but their model appearing blank. Also, when trying to EDIT that character, their information pops up correctly, but it seems to display the model of another member of the squad. In addition, at times, when trying to clear and add a character, the old character model will remain after clearing and the new character's model will overlap with the old one.

    64} Movement range indicators not showing up. It seems that, at random times, the blue and yellow movement range indicators will not show up in missions. I can move the mouse and the tool tip will tell me if they are dashing or not, but the guide lines do not show up.

    65} I was on an abduction mission on a construction site map. It was the first battle I'd encountered Mutons/
    After clearing out the Thin Men and 3 of the four Mutons, the last one turned invisible. He was in cover behind a window and some materials towards the North of the map, and one of my Assaults had failed to stun him with an ARC Thrower. At first, I thought he'd just run away down the alley, but he continued to shoot any soldiers that were in his line of sight while remaining invisible. I was unable to target him with the ARC or ranged weapons. After the 4th turn, he became visible in the same place, and I was able to shoot him and end the mission.

    66} Bug occurred in the Attack Alien Base mission. When I blew up one of the "What could they be doing with all those-" tanks, the game crashed.

    67} Bug has been occurring for about the last 5 missions. At the start of a phase, if there are aliens in view, the mouseover of the "Alien in view" icon shows 1% to hit. When I zoom in, the dialog box shows the actual %. After this happens the first time, the alien icon will show the correct % for the rest of the units for my turn, but this resets after the aliens' move.

    68} In my Steam Library list, XCOM: Enemy Unknown has the icon for steam cloud support, but there doesn't seem to be any way to save games into the Cloud. Not sure if this is a bug with the game or a Bug on Steam, but cloud support would be nice.

    69} Sniper Ability - Disabling Shot bug
    If a sniper successfully uses disabling shot against an alien on Overwatch it provides that alien with unlimited reaction shots until its next turn. Alien must then reload to fire/use its weapon as normal. Confirmed this on three separate occasions. The worst was vs a 4hp Sectoid who fired a total of 5 different reaction shots (often 2 at a single moving soldier).

    70} The load game screen has serious scrolling issues once there are a lot of saves available. It no longer sorts the items by date correctly. The scrollbar location is not properly represented. If you scroll down without clicking on a save in the list of each page, it will skip over several pages at once.
    I've also just spent about 10 minutes scrolling to the bottom and deleting my old save games at the bottom of the list. Now here's the biggest fail of all. I think it is related to the scrollbar issues... the game must have lost track of which saves were selected and deleted the top save game in my list several times, although I was clearly scrolling to the bottom, selecting the last save, and clicking delete.
    Yep that's right, it deleted my ironman game and a few hours of progress in my normal game.

    71} Saved the game and left to watch some TV.
    On loading up my save I noticed "zombies" I had killed were standing up and swaying about, they do not register as a target, but it is confusing. 2 Turns later during the enemy turn the game froze.
    On Xbox btw.

    72}sometimes when I stabilize a critically wounded squad member with a medkit, I cannot then heal them with a second use of a medkit. When I mouse over the Heal icon it says something about them needing to be stabilized, yet when I mouse over the Stabilize icon it says something about them already being stabilized.
    72a} I cannot stabilize and then heal, because I am told on attempting to heal (post-stabilizing) that I still/again need to stabilize, and on attempted repeat of stabilization, I am told that the unit is already stabilized. As a result, I can never get an unconscious unit up and moving again within a battle.

    73}I started Classic Ironman without the tutorial and I can not build anything on my base except power generators.

    Pont az eddigi félresikerült másolatok miatt tartózkodtam ettől, gondolván csak egy újabb bőr, de lehet hogy egy próbát megér a demó így a cikk után.

    Emlékszem anno még kollégiumban nyüstöltük a nagy elődöt éjszakákon át. Vagy 20 ember ült a 14"-os monitor előtt és minden lépést komoly anyázás előzött meg (vagy némi párncsata az anyázás után).
    A legüdítőbb emlékem mikor egy nem igazán hozzáértő új emberke megkérdezte, hogy akkor melyik billentyűvel nyithatja meg az inventorit (mert hát még Ő nem érti ezt):
    -Nyomd meg a Ctrl-t meg az altot és párszor nyomj neki delt miközben lenyomva tartod az előbb említett két gombot.

    Az XCom TTFD-t nagyon nagy örömmel fogadnám.. mint egy full értékű kieget, és nem mint egy különálló részt, vagy ha már új rész akkor kicsit összetettebb is lehetne.

    Én anno az eredetiben csak akkor vittem 4nél több embert ha nagyon nagy leszállt UFO-hoz vagy terror site-ra vonultam ki, a teljes legénységet pedig csak a bázistámadásra vittem ki, 8 ember+1 rögbivető hovertank.

    magerg: az, hogy nem lehet a felszerelést felvenni a hullákból, vagy átadni embereket az nekem sem tetszett. Haldoklik az embered, és hiába van nála medkit, más nem használhatja

    Még a plusz funkciókat figyelembe véve (karakterfejlesztés pl. nagyon tetszett) is általában véve egyszerűbb lett a játék, de ha látják, hogy egy ilyesmi még ma is életképes, akkor talán tovább mernek lépni. XCOM: Terror from the Deep?

    Ilyenkor sajnálom, hogy nem csináltak egy RENDES Syndicate remake-t, mert itt a kiváló példa, hogy nem kell kik*rni egy jó formulát az ablakon ahhoz, hogy jó játék legyen a végén.

    Off: az XCOM FPS-ből meg TPS-t csinálni valami retek nagy baromság volt, remélem is, hogy nem fejlesztik azt már tovább, inkább ehhez a játékhoz gyúrjanak folytatást, több értelme van és kevésbé tucatabb.

    Igen, nem rossz ez az új XCOM, de szerintem csinálhatták volna komplexebbre mint amilyen a régi volt... Kár h csak egy bázis van... Kár hogy a játék elején nem lehet fegyvereket, felszereléseket adni-venni... És ami a legnagyobb szívfájdalmam: nincsenek gyújtó rakéták és gránátok. Imádtam a régi UFO-ban szétégetni az egész pályát az idegenekkel együtt. Meg a pályák lehettek volna kicsit nagyobbak és bonyolultabbak is... De ezeket leszámítva tetszik a játék. Már normal fokozaton ironman mellett végivittem Most jön a Classic mode Ironman mellett

    Kár hogy nem ismerted, mert hitetlenül összetett, és sok szempontból kifinomultabb, mint a mostani.
    Ha akartad (és volt elég pénz), szanaszét robbanthattad a pályát. Vagy rágyújthattad az ufokra házat, azok meg elaléltak a füsttől. Vagy pl. küldetés közben dobálhattad a felszerelést az embereid közt.

    Nekem nagyon elvette a kedvem a demó, de lehet hogy teszek egy próbát.

    A konzoltulajoknak sem kell aggódni...kontrollerrel is tökéletesen irányítható a játék.
    Ilyen hülyeségeket meg ne írjunk már. Kontrollerre optimalizált az irányítás. Itt - megint - a PC volt a mostohagyerek.

    Azért az tényleg rohadt nagy lehet, hogy az egész emberiség létét fenyegető idegen faj ellen 6 (hat!) ember veheti fel maximum a harcot... (legalábbis egyszerre maximum 6 ugye, egy szál csapatszállítóval)

    Mi a fenét gondoltak, hogy "jaj az eredetiben túl komplikált volt a sok ember sok csapatszállítóval, hát butítsuk le, mert nem fogják érteni a vérpistikék és nem veszik majd meg", vagy mit?

    Az ilyen hülye apróságokon kívül amúgy ezek alapján igencsak kíváncsi leszek rá, mert az eredetinek nagy rajongója voltam és amit írsz, hogy ez is hozza azt a hangulatot, hát akkor csak jó lehet

    Tényleg addiktív! Az első néhány napon abba sem bírtam hagyni, minden szabadidőmet rászántam, de aztán elfogyott a motiváció mikor minden katonám elérte a maximális szintet. Nem maradt több érdemi felfedeznivaló számomra. Azóta elő sem vettem. Persze ez egyéni szoc probléma A játék kifejezetten tetszett míg tartott...
